IPPT 2007 | PASS



Yes !!!
After one month of controlling my diet, less supper, less beer, less alcohol, less chilli, it had paid off. Got a pass with incentive S$100 for my IPPT. Of course, this would include regular training to get the above results.

For those who have got no idea what IPPT (Individual Physical Proficiency Test), it is a physical test that most of us need to pass every year till the age of around 35+, or else suffer the RT (Remedial Training).

RT Session

RT is an 8-week non-residential training program. It provides differentiated training packages for individual NSmen to help them overcome their weak areas in physical fitness. It is conducted over two phases:

Phase 1.
This will be a 4-week Conditioning Phase of 2 sessions weekly, 1 weekday and 1weekend. It will build up the basic fitness of the NSmen.

Phase 2.
This phase applies the principle of 'overloading and increased intensity'. It is the 'toughening' phase, conducted thrice weekly (twice on weekday and once on a weekend).

Each RT session is 4 hours in duration with the following activities:
>>In-processing/Safety Briefing - 15 mins
>>Physical Training / IPPT Training - 3 to 3 1/2 hrs (include 15 mins of break after each hour of training)
>>Out-processing - 15 mins
