Business Trip to Taichung, Taiwan

For almost the whole of last week, I was in Taiwan for product tranining. The implication would be that I will be more busy in the subsequent months to come and I should not get kick out of the company any time soon. It was an intensive of full 4 days of lectures with some hands on. Apparently, some key personal who was in-charge of mostly Aisa region for a certain product left the post. Thus, that market was split to the rest of the subsideries.

I reach Taichung on Sunday, 11pm and check into a hotel. The hotel was nice. It was built slightly more than 1 year ago. I loved it. It has almost everything that you could have asked for. It has amble walking space, LCD tv (plus a small one in toilet), coffee maker, water dispenser, laptop, printer, internet connection...

On the wednesday evening after a dinner (buffet style), we went to the nearby night market with some korean collegues.

After all the training, we left for Taipei on thurday evening. Our flight was on friday afternoon, thus we only the night and the next morning to explore Taipei. On the way to Howard Plaza Hotel, taffic was still ok. It seems like bike is the more popular mode of transport here. Full of bikes everywhere. We were lucky, we got a free upgrade to a suite, nice!!!

As recommanded by the Taxi driver, we went to one of the largest night market in Taipei. We skipped dinner for some street side food.

[Yummy]

The next morning, we took a walk to 101, still the tallest building in the world. We had wanted to take a lift up, but it only start at 10am and we had to leave hotel by 11am. We did not have the chance. We took a break

Overall, the training trip was successful, but we did not have much time to do more shopping for clothes. Maybe the next holiday trip would be to Taipei...
